To the King that rules forever, who will never die, who cannot be seen, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. 1 Timothy 1:17
The whole purpose of coming before the King is to praise him, to live in recognition of his splendor. Praise—lifting up our heart and hands, exulting with our voices, singing his praises—is the occupation of those who dwell in the kingdom. Praise is the highest occupation of any being. What happens when we praise the Father? We re-establish the proper chain of command; we recognize that the King is on the throne and that he has saved his people. Walking with the Savior (Max Lucado) Psalm 34:10
'Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.' - Physical strength is no guarantee of success. - But trusting God brings with it great rewards. - The promise is that as we trust Him we will lack no good thing. - So let us trust Him with all our hearts. PRAYER: Lord, I place my full and complete trust in You right now. I will not look to other things for my help, because my help comes from You. Amen And the Spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness. Mark 1:12
Do you ever find yourself in the woods or in the wilderness? That is where the Spirit had driven Jesus, according to Mark's Gospel. Perhaps Jesus was seeking a time of self-examination. Perhaps he wanted time to reflect on the ministry that he was about to begin. Perhaps he knew this would be the last opportunity he would get to truly be alone. Whatever the motivation, it was in the wilderness that Jesus confronted Satan face-to-face. What is it that you need to confront in your life? Jesus is ready to help. A Motivational speaker said:
“The Best years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman, who wasn’t my wife.” Audience were in shock and silence. He added: “She was my mother” A big round of applause & laughter followed! A very daring husband tried to crack this at home. After a dinner, he said loudly to his wife in the kitchen: “The Best years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman, who wasn’t my wife” Standing for a moment, he tried to recall the second line of that speaker. By the time he gained his senses, he was on a hospital bed, recovering from burns of boiling water! Moral: Don’t Copy, if u can’t Paste God is Lord Almighty,
Omnipotent King, Lion of Judah, Rock of Ages, Prince of Peace, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Provider, Protector, Paternal, Leader, Ruling Lord and Reigning King Of all the universe. He is Father, He is Helper, He is Guardian, and He is God. He is the First and the Last, The beginning and the end, He is the Keeper of Creation and Creator of all He keeps; The Architect of the universe and manager of all times. He always was, He always is, and always will be... unmoved, unchanged, undefeated, and never undone. He was bruised and brought healing. He was pierced and eased pain. He was persecuted and brought freedom. He was dead and brought life. He is risen and brings power. He reigns and brings peace. The world can't understand Him, The armies can't defeat Him, The schools can't explain Him, and leaders can't ignore Him. Herod couldn't kill Him, the Pharisees couldn't confuse Him, people couldn't hold Him, Nero couldn't crush Him, Hitler couldn't silence Him, the New Age can't replace Him, and the world can't explain Him away! He is Light, Love, Longevity and Lord. He is goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God He is Holy, Righteous, Mighty, Powerful and Pure. His ways are right, His word is eternal, His will is unchanging, and His mind is on Me! He is my Savior, He is my Guide, He is my Peace, He is my Joy, He is my Comfort. He is my Lord and He rules my life. I serve Him because He is God and is worthy to be served. His bond is love, His burden is light, and His goal for me is abundant life. I follow Him because He is THE wisdom, THE power of the powerful, THE ancient of days, THE ruler of rulers, THE leader of leaders, THE overseer of overcomers, And sovereign Lord of all that was and is and is to come. Now if that seems impressive to you, try this on for size. His goal is a relationship with ME! He will never leave me, never forsake me, never mislead me, never forget me, never overlook me, and never cancel my appointment in His appointment book! When I fall, He lifts me up. When I fail, He forgives. When I am weak, He is strong. When I am lost, He is the way. When I am afraid, He is my courage. When I stumble, He steadies me. When I am hurt, He heals me. When I am broken, He mends me. When I am blind, He leads me. When I am hungry, He feeds me. When I face trials, He is with me. When I face persecution, He shields me. When I face problems, He is the answer When I face loss, He provides for me. When I face death, HE carries me Home! He is everything for everybody, everywhere, every time, and every way. He is God, He is faithful and true, I am His and He is mine. My Father in Heaven has already defeated the father of this world, and so if your asking why I stand and feel so secure, understand this; He said it, and that settles it. God is in control, I am on his side, and that means all is well with my soul. Everyday is a blessing for...... GOD IS ! Live for today, and put tomorrow into God's hands. Begin to eliminate the words 'what if' from your vocabulary. God will always be one step ahead of you. 'The Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed' (Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV). The reason God is called the 'Alpha and Omega' in Scripture is because He not only initiates the starting point of your spiritual journey, He has arranged every step of it according with His will. He says to you: 'I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope...when you pray, I will listen...I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes' (Jeremiah 29:11-14 NLT). If you're fearful of the future, check with the past. 'Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people...according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised' (1 Kings 8:56 NKJV). You will never conquer your worries entirely, for worries, just like weaknesses and character flaws, draw you closer to God and keep you dependent on Him. For forty years in the wilderness the Israelites never missed a meal. God delivered it to the door of each of their tents daily. And He will provide for you too. 'Not so in haste, my heart! Have faith in God, and wait; although he lingers long, he never comes too late.'
Soul food: Nah 1-3; Lk. 9:1-17; Ps 14; Prov. 19:1-4 Psalm 34:7
'The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.' - If the Lord is your God, then fear does not need to be a part of your life. - He will send His angels to encamp and surround you. - He will protect you from things that would seek to attack you. - And He will deliver you. PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your protection over my life and my situation. Protect me and deliver me I pray. Amen |
