Then they were glad to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going. John 6:21
It is good to attribute your success in life to your faith in Jesus. It is heart-warming to hear a businessman say, “I struggled to make a living. Then I gave my life to the Lord and I have never looked back. What I am today and what I have is all thanks to Christ.” A successful sportsman may say, “I pray before every match and God sees me through.” The message that comes through clearly is: Faith in Jesus is a recipe for success. However, it is also true that many people who believe in Jesus are not successful.
When Jesus walked on the water toward the disciples on the sea of Galilee, they took Jesus on board. Immediately the rocking boat reached the shore.
It is always good to take Jesus on board – apart from the success or failure of a business. By accepting Him in faith, you also accept that standards you need to live by in the future. He becomes a Source of help and comfort to fall back on and you have a clear direction in which to move. With Christ on board, you will have specific values to guide you in the more important decisions of your daily life. The presence of Jesus is a constant reminder that the welfare of people is more important than personal gain.
Take Jesus the living Christ on board in your life. Include Him in your family relationships, your financial affairs and your leisure activities. This will not necessarily lead to success, but your faith will make a fundamental difference in improving your outlook on life.
Jesus accepts you the way you are, but loves you too much to leave you that way. ~ Lee Venden
