In Whom WE HAVE OUR REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD [which means] the forgiveness of our sins. COLOSSIANS 1 : 14
YOU ARE REDEEMED IN JESUS CHRIST !! THE IMPACT OF THIS DECLARATION IS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL !! Salvation .. Deliverance .. Redemption .. Not something that might happen .. Not something that is a remote possibility .. Not something that will occur in the distant future .. YOU ARE REDEEMED !! When Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross, the deal was signed, sealed and delivered !! .. If you accept Him as your Lord and your Saviour then redemption has already been freely given to you !! So, You ‘Are’ Redeemed !! .. Are You Aware Of Precisely What That Means For You ? .. Mmmm .. Let’s Dig A Little Deeper. The first thing that you need to understand is exactly what redemption IS NOT .. Redemption is not a religious conviction .. Redemption is not a religious principle .. And .. Redemption is not a religious philosophy or a statement of belief. The second thing you need to understand is exactly what redemption IS .. Redemption is that in Jesus Christ you have been Redeemed, Saved and Delivered from all of satan’s authority over your life .. You Have Been Delivered From satan’s Kingdom !! Amen .. Amen .. and Amen !! You see, once you received Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you become a brand new person in Him .. And .. Through this new-birth you are set free and released from satan’s kingdom .. And .. You are placed into the Kingdom of God’s Son .. The Kingdom Of God !! .. In Other Words You Become A Member Of God’s Very Own Family !! 12 .. Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s Holy people) in the Light. 13 .. [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the power and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 .. In Whom we have our redemption through His blood [which means] the forgiveness of our sins .. Colossians 1 : 12 - 14 STOP .. Please, Please, Please Do Not Carry On Reading Any Further !! .. Go Back And Re-read At Least Another Two Times What God Is Saying To You In His Words Above !! Do You See It ? .. Do you see that God says He has qualified you and made you fit and able to receive your portion of the inheritance that He has for His saints in the Light !! .. WOW !! .. Doesn’t it just make your heart jump with excitement to know that because of Jesus Christ, God has now qualified you to enter into and have a part of His inheritance for you !! Amazing !! .. But Wait .. There Is More !! .. God is also telling you that satan NO LONGER HAS POWER AND AUTHORITY OVER YOUR LIFE .. GOD HAS DELIVERED YOU OUT OF THE POWER OF DARKNESS and He has placed you into His Kingdom where He will forever keep you close to Him !! satan is the king of darkness .. But .. The day that Jesus shed His Holy blood, was the day that satan lost his control over your life !! .. You Are Redeemed And Set Free To Walk In The Light .. Forever !! And they have overcome (conquered) him BY MEANS OF THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB and BY THE UTTERANCE OF THEIR TESTIMONY, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing] .. Revelation 12 : 11 Jesus Christ Did Not Die In Vain !! .. He had one thing and one thing only on His mind the day they nailed Him to the cross .. And That One Thing Was YOU !! Jesus knew and understood by shedding His blood He would save you .. However .. It is not enough that Jesus knew this .. You Have To Know And Understand It As Well !! You Are Victorious And The Blood Of The Lamb Is The Reason For Your Victory .. But .. You must realise that you cannot be passive with this information !! God’s Word tells you that you have to Add Your Testimony or Your Confession into the mix .. You have to open your mouth and stand your ground against satan with your confession of faith in God’s Word !! They do not believe, because their minds have been kept in the dark by the evil god of this world. He keeps them from seeing the light shining on them, the light that comes from the Good News about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God .. 2 Corinthians 4 : 4 Satan is the god of this world and he will constantly try to enforce his power and authority over you .. That’s right he is persistent and he will keep trying .. But .. There is a very big difference between trying and succeeding !! .. And .. For as long as you Believe and Confess that you have been delivered from the power of darkness and from the authority of satan through the blood of Jesus Christ .. satan can never and will never succeed !! There Is Power In The Blood Of Jesus !! .. And .. Thank God that power is now in your heart and in your mouth !! .. And .. Because of it you WILL overcome satan in every single battle, no matter what the test or trial that you are facing !! Don’t You Ever Forget That You Are A New Creature .. You Have Been Born Again Into God’s Kingdom .. And .. For this reason your status has changed .. Now You Are In Right Standing With God !! .. Now You Are Redeemed And Have Been Set Free !! .. Now You Are The Head And Not The Tail !! .. Now You Walk In God’s Unmerited Favor !! .. Now You Are A Co-heir With Jesus Christ !! Now !! .. You Are All These Things Thanks To The Blood Of The Lamb !! So the next time satan tries to come up against you .. You Just Remind him Who’s Boss !! .. You Remind him Who You Belong To !! .. You Remind him That he Is Trespassing On God’s Property !! .. You Remind him That he Has No Control Or Authority Over You !! .. You Remind him That Jesus Said .. It Is Finished !! KNOW THIS !! .. The Blood Of Jesus And The Unshakable Confession Of Your Faith In God’s Word Makes You More Than A Conqueror !! WHEN YOU FEEL AS THOUGH YOU ARE DROWNING DO NOT WORRY YOUR LIFEGUARD WALKS ON WATER The weekend is here and some are going, “yippee” good times are here…And God is also saying “Yippee” I am going to see my children in my house on Sunday. But sadly He doesn’t get to see all of his children because some deemed it unnecessary to go to church…they have better things to do, so they think.
“I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3) The apostle Paul is addressing the church at Corinth and warning them about the false doctrines running about. The church at Corinth had a problem with wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing and led some people astray. The serpent once again had stricken the people with deception. He made some to believe there are better things to be busy with than the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So it is today! You look at the church attendance and the shopping centers’ on Sundays at the times of services. People don’t seem to care about respecting the Day of the Lord as it once used to be. The once “Holy Day” has turned into “holiday” and people have lost the value of “being in the house of the Lord on the Sabbath. “Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy.” (Exodus 20:8) “You shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you; every one that defiles it shall surely be put to death for whosoever does any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.” (Exodus 31:14) “Blessed be the man that does this; and the son of man that lays hold on it; that keeps the Sabbath from polluting it and keeps his hand from doing evil.” Isaiah 56:2) And the list goes on and on; I don’t think we truly understand how important is the Sabbath. When God created all things, He did it in six days and the Bible says that in the seventh day He rested. Now that does not mean that God took a seat and went off to sleep. No, my dear readers. The rest of the seventh day the Bible is speaking of means that God stood back and considered what he had made. And after all this “stock taking” He declares…”It is very good…” So what does the Sabbath means to me today? That is the day I consider my work and actions and behavior of the past week. It the times when I hear from the Father instructions for the times ahead. It is the times I offer my thanksgiving and praise unto God for the work He has and does in my life. Let’s get to church…ok? “I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:12-13
You’ll never achieve your dream until you learn to give it up. It sounds counterintuitive, but it’s true. Surrendering your dream to Jesus is always the safest decision you’ll ever make in regards to your dream. God typically takes your dream through six different stages. I’ve seen him do it hundreds of times in my life and thousands of times throughout the lives of others.
The Bible says emphatically that you can do anything — along with God’s help. You’ll need much more than positive thinking as you pursue your God-given dreams. You’ll need the power of God. Many people have read one motivational book after another and still haven’t made progress toward their dreams. We need the supernatural help of God. Have you been trying to sail to your dreams on your own power? If so, I guarantee you’re getting nowhere — at least on the dreams that really matter in your life. The wind is dead. Surrender your dream to God. Let him empower them. “Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”(Genesis 18:14, NKJV)
God gave Sarah a promise that she would have a baby, but she was well beyond the childbearing years. She thought the promise would come through somebody else. That made more sense. She was too old. So she got her husband, Abraham, together with a young maid, and they had a baby. Sarah said, “Thank You, Lord. The promise came to pass.” But God said, “No, Sarah. I didn’t put the promise in them. I put the promise in you. You have hidden treasure that is still buried in your womb.” But as long as Sarah thought, “I’m too old. I’m at a disadvantage. I don’t look like these younger women,” she was talking herself out of what God wanted to do. How many times do we do the same thing? “I could never be in management.” “I could never write that book.” “I could never build that house.” No, God is saying to you what He said to Sarah. “I didn’t put the promise in somebody else. I put the promise in you.” Look past your circumstances today and look to God. The one who promised is faithful, and He will bring it to pass! Father, thank You for Your faithfulness to me. I know that You will bring to pass every promise You’ve made. I repent for trying things in my own strength and choose to trust wholly in You in Jesus’ name. Amen.lick here to edit. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think...” (Ephesians 3:20, NKJV)
Today’s verse tells us that God will do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think. But here’s the key: the next part says that it’s “...according to the power that works in you.” It’s not according to the power that’s in your neighbor, your boss, your pastor, your priest, the bank or the stock market. It’s according to the power that works in you. In other words, it depends on what you’re believing. If you go around telling yourself, “I’m just average. I’m not that talented. I come from the wrong family,” then the exceeding greatness of God’s power is not going to work in you. That treasure is going to stay buried. But when you acknowledge God’s greatness in your life, when you see yourself the way He sees you and live by the Word of God, that’s when His power works in you Remember, you’ve been created in the image of Almighty God. You have treasure on the inside. If that treasure is going to come out, you have to have the attitude, “I’ve got what it takes. I’m not waiting on it. I’m not hoping to get it one day. I’m not begging somebody to give me a break. No, I’m equipped, empowered, talented and creative, and I will fulfill the destiny He has in store for me!” Father, thank You for Your exceeding, abundant promises. I invite You to have Your way in and through me. Show me Your ways that I may walk with You and honor You all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.— Joel & Victoria Osteen How comforting are the words of Hebrews 4:15-17! Jesus understands our struggles and temptations because He went through the same situations but He did not sin.
God understands everything that we go through. He understands when someone treats us mean. He understands when people speak behind our back. He understands when you have been betrayed. He understands when you feel unloved. He understands when you feel rejected and alone. He understands and provides His mercy and compassion for us during these difficult times. We also know that we have done many things to hurt others. But God who is rich in mercy forgives us even though we don't deserve His mercy even though we have sinned. Even though we want to get back at others who have hurt us, we can't. Even though we want others to pay for what they have done to us, Christ will forgive us and help us get through these difficult times of stress and trouble. Mercy that He offers has nothing to do with us meriting it. We can't be good enough for God to help us. Mercy is just that, mercy. It is undeserving and unwarranted by the Savior offers help to us in our time of need. And He has the hopeful expectation as He has mercy upon us we will have mercy upon others. -- Dr. Timothy Emerick There once was a ship in the middle of a ferocious storm. Everyone knew they were in grave danger of sinking, and were working madly to keep the vessel afloat. For hours, mighty waves thrashed the deck over and over, and the torrential winds threatened to shatter the mast at any moment.
Finally, the grizzled old captain called out to the crew. "Does anyone here know how to pray?" One man, a brave young sailor on his first voyage, stepped forward. He was thinking of the passage in the New Testament that recounted how Jesus calmed a storm with one word and saved the lives of his terrified disciples. "Yes sir," he said. "I know how to pray." "Wonderful!" the captain bellowed. "Then you pray while the rest of us put on life jackets. We're one short." -- Author unknown Charles Spurgeon and his wife, according to a story in a magazine, would sell, but refused to give away, the eggs their chickens laid.
Even close relatives were told, "You may have them if you pay for them." As a result some people labeled the Spurgeons greedy. The couple accepted the criticism without defending themselves. It was only after Mrs. Spurgeon died that the full story was revealed. All the profits from the sale of eggs went to support two elderly widows. Because the Spurgeons were unwilling to let their "left hand" know what the "right hand" was doing (see Matthew 6:3), they endured the attacks in silence. We'd all like a reputation for generosity, and we'd all like to buy it cheap. -- Anonymous On a Western Airlines flight to San Francisco, fried chicken tycoon Col. Harland Sanders, 89, had made himself agreeable to staff and fellow passengers, then dropped his chin to his narrow black tie and closed his eyes.
Somewhere in the back of the plane a child had been shrieking for some time. One flight attendant told another helplessly, "I've tried candy, books and games, but nothing seems to make any difference.' The colonel rose to his feet. "I've got to speak to that child," he said. With the aid of his cane, the aged businessman made his way back. The staff watched and shrugged, as if to say, "What can he do"? When the colonel came back, not long afterward, his charm had produced a minor miracle. There was only the sound of chatter, newspapers and china. The flight attendant came up to him and said, "Thank you for helping us, Colonel." "I didn't do it for you," he replied with a smile. "I did it for the child.' And he closed his eyes again and settled down. -- Reader's Digest Luke 6:45 says, “. . .out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.” That is why the state of the heart is so critical. So what’s the state of your heart?
When your to-do list is too long, do you lose your cool or keep it? Well, that depends on the state of your heart. When you’re offered gossip marinated in slander, do you turn it down or pass it on? That depends on the state of your heart. Do you see the bag lady as a burden on society or as an opportunity for God? That too depends on the state of your heart. No wonder the wise man in Proverbs begs, “Above all else, guard your heart” (Proverbs4:23). David’s prayer should be ours: “Create in me a pure heart, O God” (Psalm 51:10). And Jesus’ statement rings true, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). From The Applause of Heaven |
