Psalm 55:22
Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you. - We are encouraged to give our concerns to God. - We all have concerns. - When we give God our concerns He can sustain and carry us. - If we hold onto our concerns, they will pull us down. PRAYER: Lord, today I give You my burdens and cares. I release the weight of those burdens to You. Thank You for caring for me. Amen. Enjoy this Tuesday. I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in Him! - Give God unrestricted access to all areas of your life. - Give Him your private inner world. - Let Him live within you. - And receive His great love for you as you trust Him. PRAYER: Lord, it is my desire that You would be at home in my heart. I give You unrestricted access to my heart and my life, knowing You love and care for me. Amen. Have a wonderful new week. Pro 3:5
The problem with this world is that it doesn't fit. Oh, it will do for now, but it isn't tailor-made. We were made to live with God, but on earth we live by faith. We were made to live forever, but on this earth we live but for a moment… We must trust God. We must trust not only that he does what is best but that he knows what is ahead. Ponder the words of Isa 57:1-2 : "The good men perish; the godly die before their time and no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to realize that God is taking them away from the evil days ahead. For the godly who die shall rest in peace" (TLB). My, what a thought. God is taking them away from the evil days ahead. Could death be God's grace? Could the funeral wreath be God's safety ring? As horrible as the grave may be, could it be God's protection from the future? Trust in God, Jesus urges, and trust in me. A Gentle Thund (by: Max Lucado) Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble;
It is a "steering wheel" that directs us in the right path throughout life Hebrews 4:16
Let us come boldly (fearlessly and confidently) to the very throne of God and stay there to receive His mercy and to find grace to help us in our times of need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. - This is such a special invitation! - The fact is that we can approach God. - His mercy and grace is available to us. - And He wants to help us in our times of need. PRAYER: Lord, I come before You now to receive what I need at this time in my life. Please help me, I pray. Amen. Have a wonderful weekend. Gal 5:22-23
In the third century, St. Cyprian wrote to a friend named Donatus: This seems a cheerful world, Donatus, when I view it from this fair garden… But if I climbed some great mountain and looked out … you know very well what I would see; brigands on the high road, pirates on the seas, in the amphitheaters men murdered to please the applauding crowds… Yet in the midst of it, I have found a quiet and holy people… They are despised and persecuted, but they care not. They have overcome the world. These people, Donatus, are Christians… What a compliment! A quiet and holy people… Quiet… Not obnoxious. Not boastful. Not demanding. Just quiet… Holy… Set apart. Pure. Decent. Honest. Wholesome… The Inspirational Study Bible (by: Max Lucado) "The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you. Never put a question mark where God puts a period" God loves you just the way you are, but he refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus. - Max Lucado
Our Lord did not ask us to give up the things of earth, but to exchange them for better things. - Fulton J. Sheen
