Work as if you were to live a hundred years, pray as if you were to die tomorrow. --Benjamin Franklin
Then said Jesus unto His disciples. If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me Matthew 16:24 Taking up the cross does not refer to the burdens of life. These are common to all men because we live in a sinful world. It is a continuous / daily choosing to deny the desires of self in order to do Gods will. Without “taking up the cross” we cannot be His disciples see Luke 14:33
Dance, Love and Sing
You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching, Love like you'll never be hurt, Sing like there's nobody listening, And live like it's heaven on earth. - William W. Purkey Life is a short dance. If you sit and watch, you'll out on all the "best" songs. Get out today and dance. Stretch your legs. Twirl in the rain. God is your partner. Hold HIS hand and let HIM lead you. The never ending, abundant supply of Love comes from God. Give it away. Offer Love freely to those around you. Friend and foe. When you give and offer Love to others, God will fill your heart with more. A heart full of God's Love knows no bounds. Start in the shower, in the car or at your desk... Sing out to God. Sing the words of praise. Sing the words of joy. Sing to your hearts content. Feed your soul with music. Fill your life with song. Resting secure in the love of God is a birth right of every believer. You can be confident that your Father in heaven loves you with an unchanging love Rom 8:39 God declares that in His Love He wants to be involved in every area of your life therefore there is nothing you do that God does not care about Luke 11:13.
Life hands us many blessings, this is quite true. But when she's unkind, We don't always know what we should do... So before you begin to quake and quiver with your fear, Shhhh. Listen to the angel who whispers in your ear. And someday when I am in "another" place, Embrace her wind... My breath upon your face. Believe in that almost silence that you can hear, For I shall be that angel... Who whispers in your ear. Written with love by Berta M. Morris Carrollton, Tx. If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.
Psalm 46:1
‘God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble.’ - God is the place to which we can run for safety. - He is your ‘safe place’. - Take shelter in Him. - He will be your help and He will see you through. PRAYER: Lord, You are my refuge and my safe place. I run to You with the full knowledge that You will strengthen and help me. Amen. The LORD is close to everyone who prays to him, to all who truly pray to him. Psalm 145:18 Healing begins when we do something. Healing begins when we reach out. Healing starts when we take a step. God's help is near and always available, but it is only given to those who seek it. Nothing results from apathy… God honors radical, risk-taking faith. When arks are built, lives are saved. When soldiers march, Jerichos tumble. When staffs are raised, seas still open. When a lunch is shared, thousands are fed. And when a garment is touched—whether by the hand of an anemic woman in Galilee or by the prayers of a beggar in Bangladesh—Jesus stops. He stops and responds. He Still Moves Stones (Max Lucado) |
