Here, Bid asseblief vir my
Here daar is geen aardse woorde wat ek het om te sê Ek is nou op die punt waar ek nie weet hoe om te bid Ek verstaan dit nie Here, my hart is regtig verskeur Hoe meer ek daarna streef om U te vertrou, hoe meer skaaf my geloof Ek weet U het geen gunstelinge, U woord is duidelik Wat U gedoen het vir ander, kan U doen vir my Ek weet U is tot alles in staat en ek weet dat U in beheer is Tog het ek nodig om te weet dat U daar is as ek my siel ontbloot . Here ek kom nederig voor U en kniel by U troon Vra ek U Here om my vas te hou, ek voel so alleen Ek is dankbaar vir die gebede van vriende en familie Maar daar is een ding wat ek van U vra Here Sal U asseblief vir my bid? Sy antwoord was: "My kosbare kind, Ek sê vir julle Maak nie saak hoe dinge nou lyk, Ek gaan na jou omsien. Werp jou sorge op my, jou pyn, Ek verstaan Onthou: Ek sal jou vashou in my hande met die spyker merke. Years ago in Scotland, the Clark family had a dream. Clark and his wife worked and saved, making plans for their nine children and themselves to travel to the United States. It had taken years, but they had finally saved enough money and had gotten passports and reservations for the whole family on a new liner to the United States. The entire family was filled with anticipation and excitement about their new life. However, seven days before their departure, the youngest son was bitten by a dog. The doctor sewed up the boy but hung a yellow sheet on the Clarks' front door. Because of the possibility of rabies, they were being quarantined for fourteen days. The family's dreams were dashed. They would not be able to make the trip to America as they had planned. The father, filled with disappointment and anger, stomped to the dock to watch the ship leave - without the Clark family. The father shed tears of disappointment and cursed both his son and God for their misfortune. Five days later, the tragic news spread throughout Scotland - the mighty Titanic had sunk. The unsinkable ship had sunk, taking hundreds of lives with it. The Clark family was to have been on that ship, but because the son had been bitten by a dog, they were left behind in Scotland. When Mr. Clark heard the news, he hugged his son and thanked him for saving the family. He thanked God for saving their lives and turning what he had felt was a tragedy into a blessing. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28) Look back and thank God
Look forward and trust God Look around and serve God Look within and find God. 2 Pet 1:3 God gives us everything we need to succeed I know He is the beginning, so why do I worry about the end?
I know He is the creator, so why do I wonder who will destroy? I know He has forgiven me, so why can't I forgive myself? I know He is a healer, so why do I speak of sickness? I know He can do all things, so why do I say I can't? I know He will protect me, so why do I fear? I know He will supply all my needs, so why can't I wait? I know He is my strength and my salvation, so why do I feel weak? I know that everything and everyone has a season, so why when someone's season is over do I weep instead of rejoicing? I know He is the right way, so why do I go the wrong way? I know He is the light, so why do I choose to walk in darkness? I know that whatever I ask of GOD, GOD will give me, so why am I scared to ask? I know tomorrow is not promised, so why do I put off for tomorrow what I can do today? I know that the truth shall make me free, so why do I continue to lie? I know He gives us revelation, knowledge and understanding, so why do I lean on my own understanding? I know I should live in the spirit as well as walk in the spirit, so why do I choose to live in the spirit but walk in the flesh? I know that when praises go up, blessings come down, so why do I refuse to praise Him? I know I am saved, so why do I refuse the word He has given me? I know He has a plan for me, so why am I rushing it because I am eager to do His will, when it is His time not my time? "The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything." We can be so stupid some times don’t you agree. Pray this prayer with me Lord guide us in your way Ps 32:8 help us to trust in you as the one true God Jer 10:10, help us to eat (meditate on and internalize) your Word Jer 15:16 and bear much fruit Joh 15:5 we pray this in Your Mighty Name Jesus Amen When Adam sinned, he tried to hide from God. When Peter denied Christ, he was afraid to face him. When Jonah refused to preach to Nineveh, his fear drove him into the ocean, to flee the presence of the Lord.
Something much worse than failure is the fear that goes with it. Adam, Jonah, and Peter ran away from God, not because they lost their love for him, but because they were afraid he was too angry with them to understand. The accuser of the brethren waits, like a vulture, for you to fail in some way. Then he uses every lie in hell to make you give up, to convince you that God is too holy or you are too sinful to come back. Or he makes you afraid you are not perfect enough or that you will never rise above your failure. It took forty years to get the fear out of Moses and to make him usable in God's program. If Moses or Jacob or David had resigned himself to failure, we might never again have heard of these men. Yet Moses rose up again to become one of God's greatest heroes. Jacob faced his sins, was reunited with the brother he had cheated, and reached new heights of victory. David ran into the house of God, found forgiveness and peace, and returned to his finest hour. Jonah retraced his steps, did what he had refused to do at first and brought a whole city to repentance. Peter rose out of the ashes of denial to lead a church to Pentecost. In 1958, I sat in my little car weeping; I was a terrible failure, I thought. I had been unceremoniously dumped from a courtroom after I thought I was led by God to witness to seven teenage murderers. My attempt to obey God and to help those young hoodlums looked as though it were ending in horrible failure. I shudder to think of how much blessing I would have missed if I had given up in that dark hour. How glad I am today that God taught me to face my failure and go on to his next step for me. There are far too many Christians who live two different lives: one on the inside, another on the outside; one Sunday morning, another the rest of the week.
Such people are hypocrites, phonies, Christian liars; they live wrong lives. Why? Because they have a wrong heart. We must be very careful that our heart is clean and pure (see Psalm 51:10). We are told in Matthew 12:34 why our heart is so important: For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. In other words, your heart affects your mouth. Since our lives, and especially our words, are being examined by unbelievers, we must be careful to have a clean heart so that we will have clean words; and if we have clean words, then our lives will show good fruit. In other words, a good (spiritual) heart will bear good fruit. No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks (Luke 6:43-45). Therefore, be careful that your words are clean and pure and that your actions are equally clean and pure so that the world will see that your life matches your lip. We all go trough tough times were we feel the grinding of
this world. It is so easy to fall prey or loose focus on what God has planned for us. Psalm 30 : 11 gives us a promise of hope it states " you have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have put off my sackloth and girded me with gladness." Jesus takes care of us He gives us a reason to hope a reason to live and a reason to dance. Feel the music and dance with Him. In John 13:34-35, Jesus instructed us—His followers—to love others: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." As Christians, learning to walk in love should be a very high priority.
Unfortunately, we often love others only superficially—that is, we talk love, but don't live love. James 2:15-16 addresses this problem: "Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, 'Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,' but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?" If you say that you love someone, but don't express it by what you do, then that "love" is worthless. Indeed, it isn't even real love. Likewise, 1 John 3:17-18 asks, "If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." Here again, we are instructed to love with actions—not just with our mouth. Follow the instructions of Jesus: love one another. However, remember that real love must be accompanied by actions, because love unexpressed is not love at all. “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done...”(Isaiah 46:10, NKJV)
Sometimes I will record a football game and watch it when I get home later. Most times, I already know how the game ends. I’ve talked to friends or watched the news. I know my team wins. While I’m watching, I don’t get discouraged if my team falls behind. I don’t get uptight if it’s halftime and we still haven’t scored. I’m totally at peace. Why? I already know the outcome. The truth is that the further behind we fall, the more excited I am because that means a big comeback is on its way. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen. As believers, God has promised us victory. You may go through disappointments. At times, it seems like you’re far behind. But you’ve got to remind yourself, “God holds my future in the palm of His hand. He already knows the outcome. God never ends in defeat!” I’m going to come out of this better and stronger than ever before! Remember, He knows how it ends, and it ends in peace, joy and victory in every area of your life! Father God, how awesome You are! Thank You for declaring victory over my life. I choose to trust Your Word, even when I don’t understand. I trust that You are good and that my end shall be in victory in Jesus’ name! Amen. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. Luke 17:15
People who have a thankful heart are always praising God. You often hear them say, “God is good!” They know that God is the reason for every blessing they get. But there are those who look to God for blessings and when they get blessed, they just go on their merry way. Their hearts are captivated by the blessings instead of the One who has blessed them. Jesus had an encounter with both these types of people when He walked into a village one day. Then lepers cried out to Him, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” (Luke 17:13). Now, when you call out to Jesus for mercy, He always hears you. On another occasion, when two blind men cried out to Him, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” He took the time to give them their miracles. (Matthew 9:27-30) So these 10 lepers cried out to Him for mercy. He stopped, looked at them and said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And “as they went, they were cleansed” (Luke 17:14). But only one came back and fell at Jesus’ feet, giving Him thanks. Notice they very words of Jesus that followed: “were there not 10 cleansed? But where are the nine?” (Luke 17:17) The other nine obviously knew that it was Jesus who had cleansed them. Yet, they did not bother to go back and thank Him. Let it be said of you when the blessings come, you remember to give God the praise, glory and honour, and acknowledge that He is the source of every blessing in your life. Did you know that when the man came back to thank Jesus, he received the additional blessing of becoming whole? Jesus said to him, “Arise, go thy way; thy faith has made thee whole.” (Luke 17:19, KJV). He was not just cleansed of leprosy, he got his missing fingers and toes back as well! When your heart is thankful towards God, you position yourself for even greater blessings. |
