A lady was driving along with her father.
They came upon a storm, and the young lady asked her father, What should I do?" He said "keep driving".. Cars began to pull over to the side, the storm was getting worse. "What should I do." The young lady asked? "Keep driving," her father replied. On up a few feet, she noticed that eighteen wheelers were also pulling over. She told her dad, "I must pull over, I can barely see ahead. It is terrible, and everyone is pulling over!" Her father told her, "Don't give up, just keep driving!" Now the storm was terrible, but she never stopped driving, and soon she could see a little more clearly. After a couple of miles she was again on dry land, and the sun came out. Her father said, "Now you can pull over and get out." She said "But why now?" He said "When you get out, look back at all the people that gave up and are still in the storm, because you never gave up your storm is now over. This is a testimony for anyone who is going through "hard times". Just because everyone else, even the strongest, gives up. You don't have to...if you keep going, soon your storm will be over and the sun will shine upon your face again. "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me!" All ten virgins in Mat 25:1-10 had the same oppertunity but only half of them prepared to take it.
God puts potential in all of us if we develop it we will see wonderful things take place in ourlives. Do your part and dont be left out like the foolish virgins were. A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. All the other frogs gathered around the pit. When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the unfortunate frogs they would never get out. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit.
The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and simply gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and suffering and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs asked him, "Why did you continue jumping. Didn't you hear us?" The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time. This story holds two lessons: 1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day. 2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill them. Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time to encourage another. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Be special to others. HEBREWS 10:17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
When I was a young Christian growing up in Singapore, I read a little tract entitled This Was Your Life. In that tract, it said that when you get to heaven, God will replay your entire life, including all your sins, on a huge video screen for all the angels and other saints to watch! The idea that God was making such a video of my life with the intention of screening it for everyone to watch used to make me feel awful and condemned before God. How could I ever stand boldly in His presence? And how was I going to face my loved ones and Christian friends in heaven? I was a nervous wreck, thinking about all my sins that God was recording down, until I read this in the Bible: “Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.” (Romans 4:8) Hallelujah! I jumped for joy when I found out that God was not counting my sins against me, and that He has given me something called “non-imputation of sins”! My friend, the reason that God does not impute any of our sins to us is that He has already imputed all of them to the body of His Son Jesus when He hung on the cross 2,000 years ago. Not only that, when God punished His Son for our sins, He caused the curse of the law to fall stroke by stroke upon Jesus’ entire body until every curse had been fully satisfied. That is why we have been redeemed from the curse of the law. (Galatians 3:13) That is why, instead of imputing sin to us, God imputes righteousness! God wants us to know that our sins and lawless deeds He will remember no more. The words “no more” in the original Greek text carry a strong double-negative meaning. In other words, God is saying, “No way, by no means, will I ever remember your sins again!” Beloved, since God says that He will remember your sins no more, why do you still remember them? Or for that matter, your spouse’s or neighbor’s sins? God does not want you to be conscious of sins because He is not. So rejoice! Come to Him boldly and expect Him to show you mercy and grace because He remembers your sins no more! PHILIPPIANS 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
According to this verse, you are rich. You are not trying to be rich. It does not matter how much you are earning or how much you have in your bank account. You are rich because as your need arises, God’s supply will be there for you. This was the case for a church member who worked as a consultant. For months, he could not secure any major deals. But while attending one of our church camps held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he received a word on financial provision. After the camp, he extended his stay in Kuala Lumpur and bumped into an old friend who gave him a big project that paid a huge sum! He needed a major breakthrough and God abundantly supplied his need. In the Bible, there is an account of a couple who had a big need on their wedding day. They had run out of wine. Now, you would expect wedding couples to know how many guests to expect on their big day and to plan accordingly. But perhaps this couple did not have the money to buy enough wine. Whatever the reason was, Jesus saved them from embarrassment and shame. He saved the day when He supplied their need by miraculously turning six pots of water into top-quality wine. (John 2:1–10) Our Lord Jesus abundantly supplied the need of that couple. Beloved, whatever needs you have, God wants you to know that His supply will be there for you. You have His Word for it. He promises that He will supply all your needs, not just some. And He will supply all your needs according to and not out of His riches. This means that He lines up from A to Z all of His resources for your every need! My friend, rejoice that you are rich “according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”. This is far greater and more dependable than the temporal riches that you might have from any earthly source! When people sin, they earn what sin pays—death. Romans 6:23
Sin does to a life what shears do to a flower. A cut at the stem separates a flower from the source of life. Initially the flower is attractive, still colourful and strong. But watch that flower over a period of time, and the leaves will wilt and the petals will drop. No matter what you do, the flower will never live again. Surround it with water. Stick the stem in soil. Baptize it with fertilizer. Glue the flower back on the stem. Do what you wish. The flower is dead… A dead soul has no life. Cut off from God, the soul withers and dies. The consequence of sin is not a bad day or a bad mood but a dead soul. The sign of a dead soul is clear: poisoned lips and cursing mouths, feet that lead to violence and eyes that don't see God… The finished work of sin is to kill the soul. In the Grip of Grace (Max Lucado) 2 .. Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.
3 .. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. JAMES 1 : 2 – 3 COURAGE IS FEAR THAT HAS SAID ITS PRAYERS !! As you leave a room and close the door behind you, the one thing that you desire to leave behind is a good reputation. The very last thing that you want said about you, is the fact that you are a Frustration .. But Then Again .. That All Depends On who You Are Frustrating !! Today !! .. You are being given permission, Encouraged In Fact, to let loose and be the biggest Frustration that you can possibly be !! Mistakes .. As God’s child, you are by no means immune from making them .. and .. One of the most common mistakes you will be inclined to make in your life is .. When you are presented with problems and troubles your immediate reaction is to pray for them to stop. Confusing as this may sound .. By praying Only for your troubles to stop, your inner feelings of helplessness, hopelessness and despair remain .. So .. While you are indeed calling out to God for His help .. satan still has you bound exactly where he wants you .. powerless !! However .. If you will change your prayers .. If you will change from asking God to make your troubles stop .. And Instead .. In the midst of your troubles you pray for strength, endurance, and you ask God to make you steadfast .. You will immediately shift your position from victim to victor .. And Here Is Why !! When satan has his biggest guns aimed at you .. and .. he is on a hell-bent mission to do everything within his power to turn your life upside down .. to upset you .. to rob you of your finances .. to ruin your business .. to tear your family apart .. to hijack your peace .. And .. All You Do Is .. Remain Steadfast And Patient .. You Will Become satan’s Biggest Headache !! satan will grow exceedingly frustrated and suffer defeat .. Because .. By standing strong, by having a willingness to endure, by being steadfast and by being patient .. it means that you are not co-operating with satan !! And do not [for a moment] be frightened or intimidated in anything by your opponents and adversaries, for such [constancy and fearlessness] will be a clear sign (proof and seal) to them of [their impending] destruction, but [a sure token and evidence] of your deliverance and salvation, and that from God .. Philippians 1 : 28 Do Yourself A Favor .. Read, Read And Read This Verse .. Over And Over Again !! This is all the motivation and encouragement you require Not to be frightened and most certainly Not to be intimidated when satan comes against you .. You Simply Remain Steadfast And Patient !! As you put this into effect in your life .. You will not only show satan that he can not handle you !! .. You are also demonstrating to God that you have faith in Him !! When your actions affirm your faith and trust in God .. he then releases His power into your situations and gracefully delivers you !! God is desperate for you to hear Him .. Loud And Clear .. when He says .. My child stand firm and do not be afraid !! You Allow Your Faith And Trust In God To Be So Steadfast That You Exceedingly, Abundantly Frustrate satan !! NO ONE WILL BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE THE CHILD OF A KING IF YOU CONTINUE ACTING LIKE AN ORPHAN TRUST GOD !! Psalm 32:8
‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My loving eye on you.’ - The Bible tells us that the Lord is our wonderful counselor. - A counselor is someone who advises and gives direction. - The Lord wants to come and walk with you in the course of life. - How wonderful it is to know that you and I have a counselor. PRAYER: Lord, You are my counselor. I ask You to come and instruct, advise and teach me what is best for my life and future. Amen. PSALM 23:5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. The table is set. The bread and wine are there, and Jesus says to you, “Come, My child, partake.” But you tell Him, “Lord, I am unworthy!” You are afraid to come to the Lord’s table perhaps because you have been taught that if you partake in your “unworthy” state, you will come under God’s fiery judgment. My friend, Jesus has washed you whiter than snow and qualified you with His own blood, so you are as worthy as worthy can be! The most humble thing you can do now is to acknowledge His perfect sacrifice and accept His invitation with gladness. In 1 Corinthians 11, Paul tells the church how to partake of the Lord’s Supper so that they will not drink judgment to themselves. The word “judgment” in verses 29 and 34 is krima in the original Greek text. It refers to a divine sentence. And in the context of this passage, the divine sentence refers to sickness. But when was this divine sentence of sickness passed? It was passed when Adam sinned. (Genesis 3:19) When he sinned, death entered the world (Genesis 2:17), and man would grow old and weak, fall sick and die. So it is not that God is passing sentences of sickness on people today. How can that be when Jesus said, “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:17) God is not in the business of condemning but saving. And the Greek word for “saved”, sozo, also means to preserve, heal and make whole. God does not want you to suffer the divine sentence of sickness that is already in the world, so He has given you a way of escape, paid for by the blood of His Son. He wants you to be healthy and whole, without the diseases of the world, and He has made this possible for you through the Holy Communion. So don’t be robbed of this tremendous blessing any longer because of erroneous teachings that have put fear in your heart. Come boldly to the Lord’s table today and receive afresh His health, strength, wholeness and life! 2 Corinthians 6:18
‘I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.’ - We serve a Mighty God. - There is nothing that is too hard for Him. - No situation or circumstance is beyond His control and power. - And this Almighty God wants to be your Father. PRAYER: Lord, You are the Mighty God in whom I place my complete trust and confidence. Amen. |
