We need to apply Jesus admonition to “Watch and pray” Mathew 26:41 to our lives. Watch for the attacks of the enemy in your life and then pray immediately. Come against Satan when he is trying to get a foothold and he will never get a stronghold.
God will never drop you any further than your knees and that is the perfect position to be in.
P- Praise R- Repent A- Ask Y- Yeild Father God we just want to lift Your Name up in this day. We accknowlage that we can do nothing without Your guidance wisdom and support. We pray in Jesus Name that you forgive us our trespasses. Help us to only do Your will in our lives help us to see Your greatness, Your omnipotence, Your power so that we can get a glimps of who you are and really respect You for who You are not only for what you do for us. Let Your anointing fill us to empower us to be your instruments and make us less so that there is more room for you in our lives. Only Your will in Jesus Name Amen
Heavenly father, I pray that nothing will draw me away from fulfilling the plan You have for me. May I never stray from what You have called me to be and do. Give me a vision for my live and a strong sense of purpose. I put my identity in You and my destiny in Your hands. I know if I walk close to You, I will never get off the path You have for me. Help me to do that in Jesus Name I pray. Amen
Step 1: Place and Time
Pick a quiet place that you can go to everyday where you will not be disturbed by outside distractions. Also try and find a consistent time that you pray everyday. Start off small, say 10 or 15 minutes and work up from there. The most important thing is to develop a pattern where you can pray everyday. Step 2: Worship and Praise Start off your prayer time by giving praise to God for all the good things that He has done. Praise Him for who He is, for His gift on the cross, for the things that He is doing and has done in your life. An easy way to start out is to say, ‘ I praise you Jesus for…’ Examples include: You are the Lion of Judah…You are My Hiding Place…. You are My Joy…You are My Provider…You are the Alpha and the Omega…You are all I need. Use the Psalms to help you out; they contain many passages of worship. This is also a great time to sing to the Lord, use songs of praise. Step 3: Repent and surrender Because we are all human we make mistakes and fall short of the glory of God. By admitting our mistakes and asking for forgiveness we put ourselves back into a right relationship with God as His blood covers our sins. We then surrender our lives to God so that He can mold us into righteous and godly people. Here is an prayer example: ‘God I am sorry for the times that I have hurt other people, I repent for any stealing, lying, gossiping, envy, hatred, jealousy and lack of love, and especially for----------I bring these to you and ask Your forgiveness. I ask you to transform me so that I can avoid these sins. I surrender my life to You. I love you Lord. Thank You Jesus. Step 4: Guidance of the Holy Spirit After Jesus left this earth, He promised us His Holy Spirit to help us in our Christian walk. It is important for us to ask for the Holt Spirit to continue to work in our lives. Pray for the firstfruits of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22: Love, Joy, Peace, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control. Pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, some of which are found in 1 Corinthians 12: Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, Faith, Miracles, Prophecy, Tongues and Interpretation of tongues. Step 5: Read the Bible The Holy Scripture is the primary way that God communicates to us. Spend a few minutes each prayer time reading scripture and let God speak to you through His Word. Start with the New Testament in the Gospels, they are the easiest to understand. There are also study books the help you go through the bible, look for tracts and books at your church as well. Step 6: Listen Yes, God does speak to us. Spend some time quiet and listen for the voice of God. Reflect on what He was saying to you in scripture. If you are not sure how to tell when God is speaking, then ask Him to show you. He will speak! It may take some time, maybe more that a few minutes or more than a day, but if you ask God will make His voice clear to you. Step 7: Intercession This is the time when you pray for your needs and the needs of others in the community. Pray for healing, for God to touch a situation or for a person in need and for the needs of the day. Make sure to remember to pray that God would be with you through the day, and that He would protect you from temptation and the ‘flaming arrows of the evil one’. It is a good idea to end with the ‘ Our Father’. Dear God
I don't know all of the challenges my friends / family have, But YOU know EVERYTHING. I hear their silence; YOU hear their prayers. I see their laughter; YOU see their tears. I see when they give; YOU see what's been taken from them. I see their beautiful appearance; YOU see the scars in their soul. I experience their faith; YOU know their doubts. My prayer for them, is that YOU give them everything they may need and bless them abundantly… Heavenly Father, we are definitely men and women of hope. We put our hope in You, our faith in You and our very being into Your hands. As we walk our various life paths, we walk them knowing that no matter what we do for a living., where we are in our outstanding of faith, or how much we have grown in spirit, that we are grounded in the hope You have given us in Jesus Christ. We.
know that nothing else can take that hope from us for it is Your eternal gift and we are grateful. Lord, grant that we might keep our hopes high this week and share the light of our hope with those around us. Help us be the messengers of encouragement in the lives of others every chance we get and to be the light You have created us to be. We praise You for choosing us to be Your sons and daughters and we ask that You will bless our hopes for those we love in every area of life according to Your will and purpose. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Read Ephesians 1:18 Heavenly Father, we recognise that humility is not always our strongest suit. We know how easily we place ourselves in a position of authority, forgetting for the moment that no matter what we know or what we have, that You have been the Giver and the Gift. Sometimes we make assumptions about others, judging circumstances or situations without the benefit of truth or knowledge of the real story. We cast our judgements without true humility and we ask Your forgiveness for that.
Lord, as we go through this week, remind us that when we humble ourselves before You, we widen the opportunity for You to do good in our lives and in the lives of others. We offer ourselves to do Your work, honouring You in all that we do and sharing the gifts divinely created in each of us. In praise and blessing, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Read 1 Peter 5:6-7 Heavenly Father, You are our strength. It is You who gives us the stamina to try again when we think we have tried every possible door. It is You who reminds us that we're not alone when we feel that we're carrying the burdens of the world. You lift us up again and strengthen our resolve to take another look, try another path, meet another challenge.
If any would call us strong, then we are grateful. We know that sometimes we look much stronger than we feel and that we try to act stronger than our belief in what is happening around us. Though our belief in certain ideas or situations may falter, our faith does not. We are steadfast in You and we hang on to Your promises and Your goodness and Your plans for our lives. We rest in You, Lord, remembering that in Your time, You will raise us up past any obstacle we face. We pray, in Jesus' name with hearts of thanksgiving. Thank You for establishing us to the end for giving us strength to cope with everything in Jesus Mighty Name Amen 1 Corinthians 1:8 He (God) will keep you strong right up to the end! God we declare that in You , we are not lacking any spiritual endowment or Christian Grace. |
