If our greatest need had been info God would send us an educator. If our greatest need had been technology God would have sent us a scientist. If our greatest need had been money God whould have sent us an economist. But since our greatest need is forgiveness God sent us a Saviour. 1 John 4:9-14 Isaiah 9:6 He became like us so we could become like Him. He loves each one of us like there is only one of us to love. Therefore we can live free and have eternal life with Him.
The world looks for something real something tangible .People look for Love and God is Love (see 1 John 4:8). Because we know God, we can offer the answer to the searching hearts around us and the needs of people we encounter in life because this God of love is the answer to all our needs.
When the Holy Spirit truly comes upon a person that person will be changed. Samuel 10:6. People will see evidence of change of character and the development of the fruit of the Holy Spirit Gal 5:22. God wants to enable usto life for Him. Be changed men and women and make a difference through the Holy Spirit
Without a firm foundation a house is constantly in danger of collapsing. Luke 6:47-49 teaches us that knowing and obeying God’s Word is the foundation of a Christian life. Lord we pray that you help us to obey your word, help us to stand strong and trust in You always.
Many of us run after earthly pursuits to try to get fulfillment The Word of God warns us in Ecclesiastes 1:14 that trying to find fulfillment in earthly things is like chasing the wind. No matter how hard we chase after it it will always evade us. But perusing God is never in vain and always for filling. Seek Him therefore always.
What was your childhood like, can you remember the good times and the bad. What about your teen years, what do you remember most of that. Are you working now, what type of job did you choose, are you married, do you want to marry. Are you happy, are you bitter. What type of house do you live in, where are your kids
Since the day we born, we have been making choices. Choices are actually not always a good thing to have, because if we make the wrong choice, we feel bad, run ourselves down. Sometimes it would be nice if choices were someone else’s responsibility. God says” Sorry my child, I have given you free will to choose, I have shown you the path, the righteous path to take” Do you know that most of your choices can always be the right ones? This is where you laughing and saying this woman does not know what she is talking about. Well your answer is Jesus, you see you have God’s spirit in you, but you need to choose that God’s spirit is the only one, not yourself, but only God’s spirit to be your guide of choices that you make. Let me say that when you were born, God had a purpose of you, but sometimes in life, we drift away from that purpose, because our soul gets in the way, our soul is our will, our emotions. So let me illustrate, if you were beaten, abused, shouted on, ridiculed, shamed of as a child, its not so that you going to make positive and health choices, because in your soul, your emotions are directing you to hatred, anger, revenge, hurt, bitterness, self hatred. JESUS came to this earth to show us He is the truth and the way When you accept Jesus as your saviour (the ultimate guide of your choices), then before God you are as you were when you first born, so from there He takes you to your destined purpose, and without you knowing all of a sudden, you have a fresh look at life, this that looked impossible, all of a sudden come to life May you find your way again Do not be discouraged with yourself just because you have not yet arrived at a place of perfection in your mind and behavior God will not be angry as long as we have the right attitude. He knows we are a work in progress and will be as long as we live Philippians 1 v 6 enjoy where you are going and on the way there grow.
We must learn to seek Gods face and not just His hand. Seeking God for Who he is not just for what he can do for us assures us fullness of Joy Psalm16:11 and is vital to our victory as believers. Be focused on Him today, He is the answer to all our needs. In His presence there is peace.
Notice in Psalm 116:17 the psalmist says that he will call on the name of the Lord but only after he offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving. There is no positive power in complaining but it is full of negative (evil) power therefore we must stop complaining and be thankful when we approach God.
Lord why is it that we keep on fighting the enemy with our own strength, why is it that if we go through trails we mope around depressed or discouraged. Your presence brings healing, joy, peace and everything we may ever need Lord. That is why David could say one day in your presence is better than a thousand anywhere else. Ps 84:10. Give us a hunger to seek Your face lord because if we can only experience You, we will become victorious in Jesus name Amen
