Many of us start well but do not persevere. Hebrews 6:11 encourages us to follow through on things we start. Lord I pray that we will have the courage to finish the projects we start even when the emotional high runs dry and it is only hard work and patience that keep us going. We pray this in Jesus Mighty Name Amen
Zephaniah 3:19 says that God wants to bless those who would appear to be outcasts those with limps in their lives. He is determined to gather and bless those who are imperfect -that is us all. God does not want us to limp through life he wants us to have peace and enjoy life.
Jesus knew who He was because He knew where He came from and where He was going John 8:14. This infuriated many people but no matter what people said about Jesus He did not identify with it but only identified with His heavenly Father.See yourself as complete in Christ and ignore what the world thinks of you.
What we think God requires and what He actually requires can often be very different. His requirements have a lot to do with how we treat people Micah 6:8 says that we are to do what is just , love in kindness and mercy and walk humbly with God. We therefore need to set our attitude, our heart and our mind on God's ways and plan without getting selfish or boasting in our achievements.
Life would be so much easier if we would believe Gods Word and act accordingly, but most of us have to find out the hard way what works and what does not work.Jer10:23 says that we do not have what it takes to run our own lives but we keep on trying. God is in control so relax and let Him direct your steps.
When Jesus was baptized, He had not yet publicly taught, performed any miricles or done any sort of ministry. Yet God called Him My Son My Beloved Son in Whom I delight. Mat 3:17 Likewise God is delighted in us because we are His Children. That pleases Him far more than any miracle of ministry we are involved in or that we do for Him. Take heart He loves you just the way you are.
Abram and Sarai got tired of waiting. They became weary as they waited for the promise of a child to come, so they decided to take control of the situation. In Genesis 16:2 “We read how Sarai gave permission to her maid servant, Hagar to sleep with Abram in order to conceive a child. Does this sound familiar, when we ourselves become weary of waiting for the promises of God, we also sometimes take things into our hands Once Ishmael was born from Hagar, he was not the promise child, so it took Abram and Sarai another 14 years before the promise child was born. This shows us that when we take a situation into our hands, we first have to deal with the consequences and then the promises is manifested Psalm 127:1 “Except the Lord builds the house, the labourers work in vain”. This means that God will bring in your promises only in His time Be kinder than necessary for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. Let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God and he who loves(his fellowmen) is begotten (born) of God and is coming to know and understand God (recognize and get a better clearer knowledge of Him) 1 John 4:7
God will tell us the way to go Psalm 37:23 but we have to do the walking. A Walk with God develops by taking one step of obedience at a time . Some people wants the whole blueprint for their lives before they will make one desision but God leads us one step at a time. By faith we take the step God has shown us and then He will give us the next step. At times we may fall down and must get back up, we may stumble but He will always help us. We continue on by His streangth and His Grace knowing that everytime we face a fork in the road (a place of decision) God will guide us.
Proverbs 10:22 The blessings of the Lord it makes truly rich, and He adds no sorrow with it (neither does toiling increase it). Dont look to become a person of success, instead become a person of value. Allow Jesus to transform your mind and be open to His voice and promptings.
