Christianity at any given time is strong or weak depending upon her concept of God. - A.W.Tozer
I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever given to men. All the good from the Savior of the world is communicated to us through this book. - Abraham Lincoln Through the clouds of midnight, This bright promise shone, I will never leave thee, Never leave thee alone. - Anonymous Only God can fully satisfy the hungry heart of man.- Hugh Black The world will never starve for want of wonders. - Gilbert Keith Chesterton Without the Way there is no going; without the Truth there is no knowing; without the Life there is no living. -Thomas A Kempis Is your place a small place? Tend it with care; He set you there. Is your place a large place? Guard it with care! He set you there. Whate'er your place, it is Not yours alone, but his Who set you there. -John Oxenham Our God is at home with the rolling spheres, And at home with broken hearts. - M. P. Ferguson One can believe intellectually in the efficacy of prayer and never do any praying. --Catherine Marshall Spend your time counting your blessings, not airing your complaints
Success is a journey, not a destination Keep your face to the SONshine and you cannot see the shadow “When darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in”(Psalm 112:4, NLT) Everyone goes through seasons of difficulty or times when things just seem dark. During these challenging times, know that you are not alone. God has a plan to drive out the darkness — He will flood you with His light! Notice that in today’s verse it doesn’t say, “The light will come trickling in.” No, it says that the light will come bursting in! That means suddenly, you will see God’s goodness. Suddenly, you’ll be promoted. Suddenly, the answer will come! If you’ve been going through a difficult time, get ready for the goodness of God in a new way. Know that His light is about to come bursting in! Get ready for breakthroughs. Get ready for promotion. Get ready for restoration. You may have had that problem for a long, long time, but today could be the day that it turns around. Suddenly, things can change! God wants His glory to be seen on you. He wants you to stand out in the crowd. He wants you to be so blessed that everyone around you can see His goodness on you! So keep standing, keep believing, keep hoping and keep declaring His Word because His light is going to come bursting in! Heavenly Father, thank You for Your light that drives out every trace of darkness! I choose to expect Your goodness. I choose to focus on Your faithfulness. I trust that You are working behind the scenes, and I expect that You will turn things around for my good in Jesus’ name. Amen. The bible says that those who walk in wisdom will be successful and live long lives. they will be happy and be blessed.See Proverbs 3:1-18 but there is no such a thing as wisdom without worship.Psalm111:10 says that reverence for God and Worship are the beginning of wisdom or in other words the foundation of a fruitful life
Let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Psalm5:11
David was a mighty warrior, but he understood vulnerability. Precisely where you are the most vulnerable is the place where you need protection. You have to have a place of shelter. David knew his shelter was in the Lord. The concept of refuge is a common theme in the Bible. A refuge is a place to rest, regroup, and feel safe. For many home is that kind of place, but ultimately stability and refuge lies in more than what a man can build for himself. If you run to God, you are not running away from life. You are running through the storms of life with greater confidence, because your confidence is in the Lord. When you find your place of refuge in the Lord, you increase your joy. When you increase your joy, your strength increases. When you run to the Lord, you are running through your problems. John 15:13-14Greater love has no one than this; that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends.
- God's love for us is so great that He paid the ultimate price. - Because of God's love for us, He died for us. - This action was a true sign of love and friendship. - God loves you and desires that you would know Him as your friend. PRAYER: Lord, You are so good. Thank You for dying and going to the cross so that I could be forgiven and know You better. Amen. Many years ago, a wealthy man went duck hunting with a hired hand named Sam. They took a horse and carriage, and along the way a rim came off one of the wheels. As Sam hammered it back on, he accidentally hit his finger. Instantly he let go with some bad words. He quickly fell to his knees, asking God’s forgiveness. “Lord, it’s difficult at times to live the Christian life”, he prayed. “Sam” said the man, “I know you’re a Christian, but tell me why you struggle so much, I’m an atheist, and I don’t have problems like that.”
Sam didn’t know what to say. Just then two ducks flew overhead. The man raised his gun and two shots rang out. “Leave the dead one and go after that wounded bird!” he shouted. Sam pointed at the duck that was fluttering desperately to escape and said, “I’ve got an answer for you now, Boss. You said my Christianity isn’t any good because I have to struggle so. Well, I’m the wounded duck, and struggle to get away from the devil. But you Boss, you’re the dead duck!” That insight fits Paul’s description of his Christian experience in Romans 7: 14-25. Struggle is one evidence of God’s work in our lives Forgiveness of sin is available, so don’t despair. Remember, dead ducks don’t flutter. –Dennis De Hann You have been saved by God's grace. Ephesians 2:5
Read slowly and carefully Paul's description of what God has done for you: "When you were spiritually dead because of your sins and because you were not free from the power of your sinful self, God made you alive with Christ, and he forgave all our sins. He cancelled the debt, which listed all the rules we failed to follow. He took away that record with its rules and nailed it to the cross. God stripped the spiritual rulers and powers of their authority. With the cross, he won the victory and showed the world that they were powerless" (Colossians 2:13-15). As you look at the words above, answer this question. Who is doing the work? You or God? Who is active? You or God? Who is doing the saving? You or God? He Still Moves Stones (Max Lucado) I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy and steadfast love, because You have seen my affliction, You have taken note of my life’s distresses. PSALM 31 : 7
YOUR GLASS IS HALF FULL .. NOT .. HALF EMPTY REMAIN AN UNSHAKABLE PRISONER OF HOPE OF HOPE IN JESUS CHRIST The way you use adversity is strictly your own choice, for in God’s hands adversity can make the heart rejoice. In Jesus Name, AMEN! |
