Anyone who comes to God must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who truly want to find him. Heb 11:6
One translation renders Heb 11:6 : "God … rewards those who earnestly seek him" (NIV). I like the King James translation: "He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (italics mine). Diligently—what a great word. Be diligent in your search. Be hungry in your quest, relentless in your pilgrimage. Let this book be but one of dozens you read about Jesus… Step away from the puny pursuits of possessions and positions, and seek your king. Don't be satisfied with angels. Don't be content with stars in the sky. Seek him out as the shepherds did. Long for him as Simeon did. Worship him as the wise men did. Do as John and Andrew did: ask for his address. Do as Matthew: invite Jesus into your house. Imitate Zacchaeus. Risk whatever it takes to see Christ. Just Like Jesus (Max Lucado) Het jy ook al van “die naakte waarheid” gehoor? Interessante uitdrukking of hoe! Seker omdat leuens altyd klere aanhet.

"Excellence is a better teacher than mediocrity. The lessons of the ordinary are everywhere. Truly profound and original insights are to be found only in studying the exemplary." ~ Warren G. Bennis "Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives." ~ William A. Foster "The secret of joy in work is contained in one word: excellence. To know how to do something well is to enjoy it."~ Pearl Buck We were in slow-moving traffic the other day and the car in front of us had a President Zuma rear window sticker on it, which read: "Pray for Our President Zuma, Julius Malema, and Robert Mugabe Ref:- Psalm 109:8". My husband's Bible was lying on the dash board & he got it & opened it up to the scripture & read it. He started to laugh. Then he read it to me. I couldn't believe what it said. I had a good laugh, too. Psalm 109:8 "Let his days be few; and let another take his office. " Let us all bow our heads and pray. Rejoice that your names are written in heaven. Luk 10:20 NIV
According to Jesus our decisions have a thermostatic impact on the unseen world. Our actions on the keyboard of earth trigger hammers on the piano strings of heaven. Our obedience pulls the ropes which ring the bells in heaven's belfries. Let a child call and the ear of the Father inclines… And, most important, let a sinner repent, and every other activity ceases, and every heavenly being celebrates… We don't always share such enthusiasm, do we? When you hear of a soul saved, do you drop everything and celebrate? Is your good day made better or your bad day salvaged? We may be pleased—but exuberant? … When a soul is saved, the heart of Jesus becomes the night sky on the Fourth of July, radiant with explosions of cheer. Can the same be said about us? Just Like Jesus (Max Lucado) Even when we are going through difficult times God will bless us in them not just when they are over. The important thing for us to do is to keep a good attetude, like being thankfull for what we have. Even if our boss treats us improperly and does not recognize our true value, dont quit. Remember that God is with us and He will make us succesful in many ways. Know that He can certainly promote us in His time because true promotion comes from God. Psalm 75:6-7. God is our source always.
Grandma is eighty-eight years old and still drives her own car. She writes:
Dear Grand-daughter, The other day I went up to our local Christian book store and saw a 'Honk if you love Jesus' bumper sticker .. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting. So, I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper. Boy, am I glad I did; what an uplifting experience that followed. I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in thought about the Lord and how good he is, and I didn't notice that the light had changed. It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't honked, I'd never have noticed. I found that lots of people love Jesus! While I was sitting there, the guy behind started honking like crazy, and then he leaned out of his window and screamed, 'For the love of God!' 'Go! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, GO!' What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus! Everyone started honking! I just leaned out my window and started waving and smiling at all those loving people. I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love! There must have been a man from Swakopmund back there because I heard him yelling something about a sunny beach. I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air. I asked my young teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant. He said it was probably a Nigerian good luck sign or something.. Well, I have never been to Nigeria, so I leaned out the window and gave him the good luck sign right back. My grandson burst out laughing. Why even he was enjoying this religious experience!! A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is when I noticed the light had changed. So, grinning, I waved at all my brothers and sisters, and drove on through the intersection. I noticed that I was the only car that got through the intersection before the light changed again and felt kind of sad that I had to leave them after all the love we had shared. So I slowed the car down, leaned out the window and gave them all the Nigerian good luck sign one last time as I drove away Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks!! Will write again soon, Love, Grandma On the eve of the cross Jesus made His Decision He would rather go to hell for you than to go to heaven without you. Luke 22:41 He prayed with you and me in mind.
