James 1:5 If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask Him, and He will gladly tell you, for He is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask Him.
- We all need wisdom to make the right decisions. - God offers us wisdom. - All we need to do is ask. - Ask God for wisdom for your situation. PRAYER: Lord, You are my God and You are my guide. Give me wisdom to know what to do and the courage to do it. Amen. You know one thing I heard this morning that made me realize that God really really loves us? A friend of mine just told me how God works. When praying , she said, its like you are placing an order to the Lord:
Imagine you are in a restaurant with a friend. Your friend orders fish and chips but you order lamb chops (Well done). Now your friends order comes through quickly because we all know that fish and chips is quick quick compared to well done lamb chop. Now your friends fish and chips is here and you are longing for it......... Moral of the story.........You prayed for something from God, you wanted it well done, you wanted it well prepared but the problem now is that you cant wait for what God has prepared for you because you are longing for what God has prepared for others....Let us pray to the Lord and place our orders and our prayers will be answered at the right time. The Lord has prepared a destiny for each and every individual so WHY DON'T WE WAIT FOR OUR LAMB CHOPS???? Enjoy the rest of your day GUYS.....and REMEMBER.....................wait for your lamb chop ~ U HARDLOOP MOS SAAM MET MY ~
Dit is oggend, Here Jesus, En my eerste gedagte wanneer ek wakker word, Is nie noodwendig dat ek vir U wil dankie sê Vir 'n rustige, veilige nag nie. Ek is so moeg, Here. Ek wil tot rus kom. Waarheen hardloop ek? Hou my bewus van U, wat deur die dag se gehardloop by my bly. U hardloop MOS saam met my The highway of the upright turns aside from evil; whoever guards his way preserves his life. Proverbs 16:17
In many areas of life it seems at first glance as if the good always suffer at the hands of the wicked. Circumstances frequently occur where it seems as if those who are living righteously are the losers, while the people who live through shady practices appear to be doing well. This results in people saying that honesty does not pay. When people embrace this kind of attitude, they run the danger giving in to temptation, lowering their personal standards and compromising their principles. The teachings of Jesus regularly reminds us that there is no point in trying just to please ourselves or other people; seeking our reward now, rather than waiting for the righteousness of the Kingdom of God; compromising rather than upholding our principles. If you long for a peaceful and fulfilling life, it is essential to remain true to the teachings of Jesus. This is infinitely more worthwhile than giving into people around you. You will one day be called to account before God and will have to answer for the way you have chosen to live your life. If you allow the Holy Spirit to come into your life and take control, you will discover that the strength of your willpower depends on your faith and it is this that enables you to overcome temptation. You can live like Christ – in a way that is pleasing to God. "Holding on to faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith." (1 Timothy 1:19)
Victor Hugo, who is famous for his novel the Hunchback of Notre Dame, also wrote a story called "Ninety-Three." It tells of a ship caught in a dangerous storm on the high seas. At the height of the storm, the frightened sailors heard a terrible crashing noise below the deck. They knew at once that this new noise came from a cannon, part of the ship's cargo, that had broken loose. It was moving back and forth with the swaying of the ship, crashing into the side of the ship with terrible impact. Knowing that it could cause the ship to sink, two brave sailors volunteered to make the dangerous attempt to retie the loose cannon. They knew the danger of a shipwreck from the [loose] cannon was greater than the fury of the storm. Life's certainly like that. Not always, but more often than not, it isn't the storms without that cause us the most problems, but the storms that rage within us—such as a spirit of bitterness, jealousy, pride, greed and so on. Other "loose cannons" are unresolved hurt, anger, a lack of forgiveness, guilt, lust, and so on. These, if not confronted and resolved, can readily cause shipwreck of our relations, our faith, or even our life. Some "loose cannon people" in organizations also need to be brought under control before they destroy "the ship." Suggested prayer: "Dear God, thank you for your Word that reminds me to live with a clear conscience. Please confront me with any issue in my life that could, if unresolved, lead to shipwreck of my faith, relationships, and even of my life. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. In Jesus' name, amen. And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. Exodus 13:21
When the children of Israel were wandering in the desert, God led them by going before them in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. By day God spread the pillar of cloud as a covering over His people in the desert to prevent the scorching sun from striking them down. Today you are also under His covering. He will not allow you to be struck down (Psalm 121:3-8), nor be oppressed by the “heat” of the day Isaiah 54:14). At night, when the desert became dark and cold, God gave His people the pillar of fire to light the way for them, as well as to keep them warm and safe. Today, as you walk with God, you will not be overwhelmed by the cold, dark places in life because God’s Word says, “You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night, nor of darkness” (1 Thes 5:5). You will not fear the terror by night or pestilence that walks in darkness because God will deliver you from them. (Psalm 91:5-6) Like the children of Israel, who only needed to look up and keep their eyes on the pillar of cloud and fire, all you need to do today is look up to Jesus and keep your eyes on Jesus. When you need His direction for a situation, look to Jesus who has the words of eternal life (John 6:68). When you see symptoms of sickness in your body, look to Jesus who has borne away every disease and physical affliction (Matthew 8:17). When the children of Israel were bitten by serpents in the desert, God told Moses to make a bronze serpent and put it on a pole – a picture of Christ being judged on the cross (John 3:14). Those who looked at the bronze serpent instead of their wounds were healed (Numbers 21:9). He who looks to Jesus lives! Look to Jesus, He is your covering, protection and deliverance! |
