When a runner is entering a race, his focus is not on the people in the stands or the runners beside him but on the finish line! As a believer your life is like a race and as you run it is important to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus see Heb 12:1-2 Give Him your undivided attention and check if anything is distracting you from God or keeping you from making progress as you grow in faith.
Notice that each man in Gideon’s tiny army held a torch in one hand and a trumpet in the other leaving no chance to use their swords. Judges 7:20. When god sent them out to battle the Midianites He intentionally put these items in their hands so that they could not fight on their own and be totally dependent on God to fight for them. All they had to do was break a pitcher hold up a torch and shout. We can learn from them to put our confidence in God instead of in our own ability to help ourselves. What God asked you to do may be impossible for you but it is not impossible for God
Do trails make you wonder if God really cares about you? Even in the midst of his suffering Job knew he had to remember that it was God who gave him life and preserved his spirit Job 10:12. Ask God to show you ways that He is caring for you even in the midst of your difficulty and be encouraged and strengthened by it.
Isaiah 40 :31 teaches us that waiting on God is expecting looking for and hoping in Him. It is spending time with Him in His Word and in His presence. We do not worry while we wait on God we do not get frustrated or upset , we just rest in Him in His presence and then our strength will be renewed.
God expects us to be responsible and take care of what He gives us . He wants us to do something with the gifts and talents He gave us that produce good fruit. If we do not use the gifts and talents He gave has given us when he directs us to do so then we are not responsible over what He entrusted to us. If you are a procrastinator I urge you to heed the instruction of Ecclesiastes 11:4. We do not have to wait for perfect conditions to start obeying God.
No matter what your problem is or how badly you feel about yourself as a result of it , God loves you . In Jesus Christ He has given you a new life He will provide new friends to love accept appreciate and uphold you. You are okay and you are going to make it because of the one Who lives inside you and cares for you. Regardless of what you may have done you need a deeper revelation of what God means in Jer 31:34.I will remember your sins no more. Once you have confessed your sins and continue to bring them to Him in prayer you are reminding Him of something He promised to forget see Psalm 103:12 He removes our sins from us as far as the east is from the west. God forgives and the forget completely.
Some people have a hard time coming to Jesus. Just as the man mentioned in Mark 2:1-4 They may be paralyzed by their doubts their questions or even their fears. Is there such a person in your life? Make a commitment to do whatever it takes to help this person see Jesus and ask the Holy Spirit to break through the walls of their unbelief. Believe in Jesus He will equip you with everything you need to bring the person heart in line with Him
Gods children are not to be like the world . The world seeks after things, but we are to seek the Lord and His Kingdom . He promises that if we do that, He will add to us everything else He knows we need see Luke 12:31 Mat 6:33 and He knows every need . Have an awesome day in Jesus Name Amen.
It is sad and distressing to see another Christian stray from faith in Christ Tim 4:1-2 warns that before Christ comes again there will be those who depart from the faith. Pray that people close to you will not fall into deception and become hardened to spiritual truths. Guard yourself against deceptive doctrine through diligent study of God’s Word.
Psalm 41:2 tells of a deer that longs for a refreshing stream on a hot day. Knowing about water does nothing to quench your thirst. Only drinking water does. The same is true of our desire for God. God wants you to experience Who He is Seek Him and He will satisfy your desire to know Him intimately.
