I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Psalm3:4
Most big companies have a helpline system. If something is wrong with a product that you have bought, you can call the helpline.
When you place your hope in God and believe in Jesus Christ, you have a completely different sort of helpline available – 24/7. David in today’s psalm knew all about it. In difficult times of stress, tension or misfortune he called on the Lord for help. The people of ancient Israel thought that God lived on Mount Zion in Jerusalem, where the temple was build. Therefore, the temple was their spiritual “call centre.”
No one goes through life without experiencing problems. Difficulties are an integral part of life. But you can always ask the Lord for help. His helpline is always open – no matter when or where you are.
When you are suffering from an illness, you can call on Him for help. When you are in trouble; when you experience financial problems; when you feel hopeless; when you are exhausted by worry; when you are concerned about the future – you can call on God and nurture the hope and faith in your heart that He will be there to assist you. He will come to your aid and stand at your side. Test Him in this if you cherish a living hope in your heart.
The natural flights of the human mind are not from pleasure to pleasure, but from hope to hope ~ Samuel Johnson
