But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. (Matthew 6:6). Everyone must have a solitary place where he/she can be alone with God. This spot can differ from day to day, but it must be a time where you as a pupil can be taught by the Master how to pray. As long as in our worship of God we are chiefly occupied with our own
thoughts and exercises, we shall not meet Him who is a Spirit, the unseen One. But to the man who withdraws himself from all that is of the world and man, and prepares to wait upon God alone, the Father will reveal Himself. (Taken from: With Christ in the School of Prayer by Andrew Murray).
here I am. I am entering my room and I am shutting out all disturbances. I am
waiting… I am waiting on You to reveal Yourself to me.
